An amazingly obsessive Flickr photoset by Petromyzon called Tokens.
They’re lovely, and stir up memories of when arcades were fun and games cost less than a buck fifty to play. The games were simpler, cheaper, and, on balance, a good deal more fun than today’s arcade games. I’d put Stargate or even Pac Man up against most anything today. Hmmm… Police Trainer 911 is a lot of fun and Silent Scope is pretty snazzy as well. Okay, at least the games back in the day cost a quarter or less to play — especially when five bucks bought eighty tokens.
