Once again surveys show that gamers are watching less and less television.
The point could be made that this survey doesn’t necessarily mean that gamers are spending more time playing video games, just that they are watching less TV. And with the current quality of programming on television I would venture to say that this is entirely understandable from any person.

This is why the media is downplaying videogames: they are in DIRECT COMPETITON with videogames.

Yeah, but there isn’t much competition…the only reason TV usage is still so high is because it is what people are used to doing, so they have trouble turning it off…even when there is nothing on.
