Speaking of in-game graphics… Battlefield 2 had bugs, buggy patches, buggy add-ons… besides the infuriating bugs, Battlefield 2 was (and is) simply an awesome game. Got it, play it, love it.

Now EA is releasing trailers for their upcoming installment in the series, Battlefield 2142. One word: mechs. Okay, two more words: Predator camouflage. Either would be enough to rock, but you get both with BF 2142. (Not that it’s as cool as Konami’s Contra, but here in the future we have to make do with what we can.)

BF 2142 is running on an updated BF 2 engine, and release date is not yet available but the EA site claims “this winter.”

You can find the trailers on Google Video and YouTube, but BF2S has better copies. The latest is in a .rar archive, so you’lll need WinRar or a similar utility.
