Create, download, or buy icons for your Nintendo DS at DSIcons, by Firewheel Design. Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing support custom icons. Most if not all of the icons at DSIcons are for Mario Cart DS, but they show pixel-by-pixel three frame instructions on creating the icons and offer GIF download links. The downloadable icons are free.

Now, granted, the site is a thinly-veiled advertisement for icons packs and Firewheel’s custom icon services, but the prices are mostly reasonable ($5 for the DS icon pack, up to $239 for some of Icon Buffet’s offerings) and they are nice icons.

If you wish, they will create a custom DS icon for $25 to $35.
