Another Sony PlayStation 3 commercial, this time focusing on Blu-Ray capacity. More hype, but still compelling. Initial comparisons of movies released both on Blu-ray and HD DVD show HD DVD has a slight quality advantage — no doubt a gap that will be closed. However, it makes sense that raw capacity and speed are what counts in games. More capacity (Blu-Ray capacity is about 60% that of HD DVD) means more space for sprawling worlds, textures, and game code.
That aside, this ad is a bit less impressive than the previous Play B3yond ad, “Smart,” but it doesn’t end by saying “your stupid” [sic].
