Simon Tatham has written a collection of puzzle games for Windows, Linux, and Max OSX. Someone has also ported them to the Palm.
Lots of Puzzles
There are 24 puzzles that range from a sliding tile game called Fifteen and a Color-the-Map game, to Dominoes, Solo (basically Sudoku), Mine Sweeper, Untangle, and others. You can download them individually or in a zip file that contains all 24 games with a help file.
Source Included
If you are a programmer, you might be interested to know that Mr. Tatham has made the source code available as well.
They’re free to download and generously made available under the MIT license.
