Mom’s Minivan has several printable games for trips, including Roadside Bingo and Car Bingo, Lines and Dots, Tic Tac Toe, Travel Scavenger Hunts, and the License Plate Game. These traditional travel games are not an in-car videogame console complete with LCD monitor, but can be just as much fun and a whole lot less expensive.

Other good travel games include Travel Scrabble, Travel Mastermind, and Magnetic Travel Chess.

Puzzles present another option for travelers. Get one of the great sudoku books by Will Shortz or Nathan Haselbauer.

Of course, crossword puzzles and logic puzzles are a good bet too.
