Completing Flash Element TD, a game covered here a few days ago, is no great task; it might take several tries to get there, but blanketing the screen with combo rockets on level 39 does the trick and might leave you with a nice 13,000 points.
Strategy and Tips
But you will not get on the high score list, not even close. High scores depend on using compounding interest to build your fortunes. Once you have the gold, you can keep buying more lives, upgrading towers, whatever you need.
Let’s walk through a basic route to 100K points or more. As you’ll see, the placement is not perfect and upgrades are not optimized. Had they been, the score would be better. Regardless, it will give you something on which to build your scores.
The screenshots were taken from a couple different runs through this walkthrough, so the exact placement of towers may shift from shot to shot, but the basic premise is the same. Tune to your liking.
Level 1 Sheep
One cannon, center of the left side.
Level 2 Rabid Dogs
Upgrade your cannon to level two.
Level 3 Small Boys
Add a second cannon in the lower right.
Level 4 Peasants
Upgrade right cannon to level two.
Level 5 Firework Throwers
Upgrade left cannon to level three.
Level 6 Drug Runners
Level 7 Greedy Pigs
After the round, upgrade the interest rate to 15%.
Level 8 Air Flying Machines
One fully-upgraded air tower dead center will take care of these creeps.
Level 9 Stags
Upgrade your right cannon to level three and sell your air tower sometime before the end of the round.
Level 10 Immune Trolls
Do nothing, you’re good here too.
Level 11 Boss, Angry Critters
Add a level three cannon in upper right. Creep leaks once.
Level 12 Water Elementals
Do nothing. You’re fine.
Level 13 Fast Drug Runners
Do nothing. You’re still fine, but just barely.
Level 14 Lizards
After the round, upgrade the interest rate to 20%.
Level 15 Battle Golems
Level 16 Harpy Rogues
Add one level three cannon tower on the center of the right side. This is a bit of overkill. Level one or two would probably work.
Level 17 Air, Albatrosses
Build four level three air towers. Two or three will leak. Sell all but one air tower before the end of the level.
Level 18 Fat pigs
Add a level three cannon in the lower left. One or two might leak. Don’t worry.
Level 19 Fast, Drug Runners
Add some level three cannon towers in strategic positions.
Level 20 Goblins again
Do nothing. All is well.
Level 21 Immune Trolls
After the round, upgrade the interest rate to 25%.
Level 22 Boss Angry Critter
Add three level three cannons, the boss leaks twice before being killed.
Level 23 Goblins
Level 24 Dark Minions
Level 25 Cannons
Again, do nothing. It’s close, but you should be okay.
Level 26 Fast
Level 27 Air, Albatrosses
Seven level three air towers, sell as many as possible just before end of round. Buy several lives as the creeps leak.
Level 28 Cryptic Fiends
Add two or a few level three cannons.
After the round, upgrade the interest rate to 30%.
Level 29 Sludge Monstrosity
Add two level three cannons, one leaks
Level 30 Ghouls
Add level three cannons if you’d like.
Level 31 Goblins
Add level three cannons.
Level 32 Fast Immune Drug Runners
Add level three cannons, several leaked, bought extra lives.
Level 33 Boss Angry Critter
Add several level three cannons, leaked twice.
Level 34 Dang Hard
Add several level three cannons. Some creeps might leak; if so, buy lives to cover.
Add several level three cannons, bought 30 extra lives, many leaked once.
After this level, research fire.
Level 36 gg
Added many fire towers and upgraded several to level four. This is overkill. You do not really have to buy so many; just add some of the fire towers you see below and upgrade four or five; you’ll be good.
Level 37 HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE
Add some fire towers. If you have a few creeps that leak, just buy extra lives at 40 gold each — cheaper than fire towers and you want that interest.
Level 38 The last level
Upgraded some fire towers to level four. One leaked, bought a life.
Level 39 U B PRO
Added and upgraded fire towers to level four.
